Pelvic Health and Liberation contains four modules, each of which can be completed in a week's time, or at your own pace.
The embodied practices are meant to be revisited and maintained over time for optimal health and vitality. Content will remain available to you.
Module 1: Soften
A common misperception about many kinds of pelvic floor dysfunction is that it is a result of weakness. In reality, weakness is usually a result of tension. In this module we will practice simple, yet effective posture and movement techniques to soften the pelvic muscles, as well as basic relevant pelvic anatomy. Strengthening plays a role too. We will visit that later. First, we will soften.
Module 2: Balance
Now that we have started to unravel the tension we can learn balance. This will include pelvic mapping and self internal massage. If we think about the pelvis in four quadrants, upper, lower, left and right, as we learn to assess the muscle tone in each quadrant, we can learn about our own pelvic imbalance. This is a path to healing and liberation. I know this can be a scary edge for some. You will be held and guided along the way in this shame free zone.
Module 3: Strengthen
Since we have started to uncover and support the imbalances in our pelvic bowls, now we can offer support and strengthening. Some of the techniques in this module are incredibly helpful to heal or prevent pelvic organ prolapse.
Module 4: Delight
Ultimately the struggles we have inside of our pelvic bowls can contribute to shame and physical discomfort. Time and healing are not linear, so all of what we learn here is for continued practice, attention and intention. AND pleasure is our birthright. Pleasure brings powerful healing! In this module, we will work with techniques and practices to bring more delight into our bodies and lives.
